A man is accused by prosecutors of having offered 1,000 lei to an inspector in order not to sign a protocol after checking up his store located in Durlesti town of Chisinau municipality, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the general prosecutor's office, the charged man concluded an agreement about recognizing his guilt with the prosecutor.
The General Prosecutor's Office's statistics show that 1,368 notifications on offenses related to corruption were submitted in the first half of 2009, as 305 criminal investigations were started.
137 cases were sent to courts, as 82 condemning sentences were pronounced regarding 24 police, 32 public servants, 5 customs officers, 1 prosecutor and 49 people from other categories.
