Denmark’s Emmelie de Forest has won Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “Only Teardrops”. Moldova’s representative Aliona Moon, who sang the song “A thousand”, ranked 11th, IPN reports.
Most of the points to Moldova were offered by Romania (12), Ukraine (8), Macedonia (7), Russia (6), and Serbia (6). Moldova also won points from Montenegro (5), Italy (4), Belarus (4), France (4), Bulgaria (3), Ireland (3), Austria (2), Spain (2), Belgium (2), Israel (1), and Azerbaijan (1).
Azerbaijan finished second, while Ukraine came third. Romania is the 13th.
Last year Moldova was represented at the contest by Pasha Parfeni. This year he was also on the stage, alongside Aliona Moon.
