Democratic Party campaign manager Vlad Cebotari has called on Moldovan citizens to go out and vote with few hours remaining until polling station close at 9 p.m.
“Dear citizens from across the country, please go out and vote. Go out and vote. Vote for the Democratic Party. Vote for the Democratic candidates in the single-member constituencies. Vote so that the good things which have started in Moldova could continue”, urged Cebotari during a press briefing.
Cebotari enumerated a few highlights from the Democrats’ manifesto: more good roads, more homes for the first-time buyers, larger salaries and pensions, economic growth and prosperity for every town and village.
Commenting on NOW’s allegations of fraud, in particular in a constituency that pits together the Democrat Constantin Țuțu and NOW co-president Andrei Năstase among others, Cebotari dismissed them as electoral rhetoric aiming at discouraging the turnout. He then asked NOW what about their own alleged violations, like the claim that Năstase engaged in campaigning inside his polling station or reports that “some criminals” funded vote-buying in Maia Sandu’s favor.
