The Moldovan delegation that will go to bring the Holy Fire from Jerusalem will not be placed in quarantine upon return as the procedures for transmitting the Holy Fifer will involve minimum contact, President Igor Dodon stated in a new edition of the program “President Responds”, IPN reports.
The official noted that in accordance with the procedures set down by the Israeli state, the persons who go after the Holy Fire this year will not get out of the plane. “All the delegations from all the states that will go after the Holy Fiore will remain in the plane. A representative of the embassy goes to take the fire and brings it to the plane. The given persons will only take the fire and the plane will take off immediately. I do not see quarantine risks here, but we will anyway take increased measures in this regard,” said Igor Dodon.
On April 9, President Dodon posted on Facebook that the Holy Fire will be brought to Moldova this year as well even if the Moldovan Metropolitan Church a week ago said the opposite. “A number of Christians with financial possibilities combined their forces to ensure the Holy Fire reaches Moldova this year too, the 18th consecutive year,” he stated.
