Delegation of Education Ministry goes to Ljubljana

Minister of Education Leonid Bujor will take part in the 23rd session of the Education Ministers' Conference themed “Education for Sustainable Democratic Societies: the Role of Teachers” that will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on June 4 and 5. The conference is organized by the Council of Europe, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Education Ministry's press service.
The Moldovan delegation consists of Nadejda Velishko, division head at the Ministry, and Gheorghe Ciocanu, rector of the State University of Moldova.
The education ministers of the 50 countries that signed the European Cultural Convention will agree a strategy for education and the teacher formation policies on which the future actions of the Council of Europe will be based.
The conference will center on the following issues: partnerships and networks in education; the Council of Europe's education program in the context of the current institutional reform; education for sustainable democratic societies; the role of teachers in education and society; the challenges of the contemporary society, etc.
