The President of Moldova Igor Dodon is neither sincere, nor independent. The President should be a moderate and balanced person, ex-head of the Public Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Trade Igor Grigoriev stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel. Socialist MP Grigore Novac stated a differing opinion. According to him, the President does not accept to be given instructions and should not be forced to do something, IPN reports.
Igor Grigoriev said Igor Dodon is dependent a lot on the Russian Federation and this is a very big problem. Furthermore, the President should not promote the Party of Socialists as, by definition, the Head of State is an apolitical person. “The duty of the President is to consolidate the rather “sick” society of the Republic of Moldova,” he stated.
According to Grigore Novac, Igor Dodon now represents with dignity the Republic of Moldova. For the autumn-winter session of Parliament, the presidential office registered about 60 bills and this is the President’s merit. “The informative notes to each of the bill say where money can be saved for implementing these laws,” he stated, noting that if they want the President to do what he proposes, he should be offered instruments.
