Dedicated exhibition displayed at Army Hall

A photography exhibition dedicated to the National Army was opened on Monday, December 20, at the Army Hall. It gathered about 250 photos taken between 1991 and 2010. Ministry of Defense spokesperson Ala Diaconu told Info-Prim Neo the pictures were selected through a contest which took place between October 15 and November 30 and involved both militaries and civilians. Leonid Scolinii, photographer of the Military Academy, was the winner in the “Portrait” category. He said photography was his spiritual hobby and was happy his work had been appreciated. Adjutant master sergeant Vitalie Iovu of the Military Center of Mass Media won the award for “Professionalism” and for the most voted picture online. Tudor Iovu was the winner in the “Memory” category and major Eduar Vulpe of the Air Forces Commandment in the “NATO and International Operations” section. The winners received military equipment, diplomas and albums. The exhibition was organized by the NATO Center of Documentation and Information and the Lithuanian Embassy in Moldova in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
