Deadline for submitting applications for TRM managers expired

On March 23, the deadline for filing applications for offices of the chairman of “Teleradio Moldova” Company (TRM) and directors of the national TV station “Moldova 1” and “Radio-Moldova” has expired. Anatol Dubrovschi, the Secretary of the Supervisory Board (SB) of TRM told Info-Prim Neo that 11 persons submitted applications for these offices: 6 – for the office of TV director, and 5 – radio director. For the office of Chairman are competing Valentin Todercan, IonMazur, Oleg Brega, Boris Grechin, Nicu Scorpan, Ludmila Barba, Alexandru Grosu, Dinu Gajosu, Oleg Delev, Ilie Telescu and Ion Bujor. Dumitru Mamaliga, Adela Raileanu, Oleg Brega, Nicu Scorpan, Sandu Osadcenco and Ion Bujor applied for the office of “Moldova 1” director. The radio director office is disputed by Ion Magu, Vlad Turcanu, Oleg Brega and Victor Tabarta. MP Leonid Bujor told the Parliament sitting of March 23 that the persons to be appointed are already known, namely Valentin Todercan as TRM Chairman, Adela Raileanu – TV director and Vlad Turcanu as director of “Radio Moldova”. According to Bujor, the contests to appoint the Company’s management and members of the SB and Broadcasting Coordination Council are continuing the partition of media sources in Moldova between the ruling party and its allies. Previously, the Chisinau-based media, including “Jurnal de Chisinau” and “Timpul de dimineata” were announcing that the results of the contest are known, mentioning the same names. The contest to appoint the three managers will take place on March 28.
