The economic entities will be able to correct the reports even several months after submitting them to the tax body, until they are informed about a fiscal inspection at the company. A bill that extends the deadline for presenting the corrected reports was passed by Parliament in first reading on October 27, Info-Prim Neo reports.
MP Valeriu Guma, who is the author of the bill, explained that currently, if an economic entity in October identifies a mistake in the report for February for example, they cannot file a corrected report to the tax body because the deadline for February expires on March 31.
“The companies are thus put in a difficult situation as they cannot correct the mistakes by themselves. When a mistake is made in a certain month, all the reports for the next months can be incorrect owing to the mistakes made earlier. The bill allows the taxpayers to submit corrected reports until the state body announced a fiscal inspection,” said Valeriu Guma.
When filing the correct report, the taxpayer will pay a penalty for the given period.
