The biscuit production line that Daron-Lux SRL plans to put into operation will enable to diversify the assortment of biscuits sold, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the company's accountant Andrei Chiriac. Chiriac said the company now makes 40 types of ordinary biscuits. Six types of these are chocolate biscuits that are popular with the consumers in Moldova and in Romania, to which the company exports its products. “Daron-Lux's biscuits are made exclusively from locally-sourced raw material and don't contain additives. Both the children and the adults like them,” Chiriac said. The company produces 30 tonnes of biscuits during 24 hours. “Daron-Lux now has 100 employees. Though the crisis affected the people's purchasing power, we maintain the production volume. None of the employees was sent on forced leave. The salaries are paid on time. We try to reduce production costs so as not to increase the price of the finished products,” Chiriac said. Daron-Lux entered the market ten years ago. Though competition on this segment of the market is stiff and there are foreign companies that sell similar products at under cost price, Daron-Lux manages well and develops. The company has the international quality management certificate ISO 9001. Last year, it obtained the ISO 22000 and HACPC certificates.
