The administration of Orizont Theoretical High School mentions, in a message posted on its Facebook page, that "on the morning of September 6, 2018, an unprecedented act took place in the Republic of Moldova - the abduction of people". The events of a year ago were "an incredibly insolent and monstrous act", "dark forces abducted seven people from the Moldovan society, seven teachers, seven families were destroyed, and 18 children were left without a father", IPN quotes the message.

Five of the seven teachers had an asylum seeker status, therefore, according to the Geneva Convention, they had to be granted the protection of the state, maintains the high school administration. "The Republic of Moldova did not pass this exam, we could not prove that we are a rule of law", was stated in the message.

The Orizont team states that "in the morning the asylum seekers were arbitrarily removed from their homes, or held on their way to work and taken directly to the airport, without identity papers, without border control, without explanation, without access to justice and sent to Turkey on a plane without route data, rented and paid out of public money”.

"To avoid that these criminal events be repeated in the future, we need to know who did what on this sad day in the contemporary history of Moldova. We will not forget those who ordered, organized, directed and committed this crime. We must not forget, in order not to repeat it”, it is said in the message.

The administration of the educational establishment also specifies that the seven teachers have dedicated many years of their lives, some even over 25 years, to the education of a free and dignified generation, which promoted the Republic of Moldova on international level. Thanks to their work, the flag of Moldova has been flown hundreds of times in different corners of the world, they have shown that the greatest potential of Moldova are the intellectuals. "Today, one year after this tragic event, we are convinced that these innocent people suffered only because they had vision and did not obey the Erdogan regime," the message said.

The high school administration expresses its hope that "the day will come when the Republic of Moldova will be equal to the free and democratic countries, when it will have a developed civil society, a flawless legal system and a state that exists for the people."
