The company performs its program according to the Investment Agreement signed in December 2004 by those three companies and the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
The Terminal includes a berth for oil tanks, 8 tanks for stocking oil products with a total volume of 52 thousand tones, a complex system for pumping oil products from ships to tanks, as well as from tanks to trucks. The Terminal is also equipped with a modern system for collecting torrential flow and for filtering residual waters and those containing oil, and a fire prevention system. Administrative buildings will be constructed, which will be used as administrative headquarters, laboratory and eating hall.
The value of direct sources invested by Danube Logistics in the construction of the Oil Terminal amounted to USD 23 mln.
The International Free Port from Giurgiulesti, as a separate territory, with a special customs and fiscal regime is considered to be registered on July 29, 2005 since its first resident has registered – the company “Azertrans” Ltd, which is the main investor. Starting that moment a severe customs regime was settled. In less that one year, 15 residents and 11 companies, which performed the construction works were registered in the Port. At present, the total area of 41.9 is intensely enhanced.
