Representatives of governments and international organizations will meet next week in Chisinau at the fifth edition of the Moldova Support Platform, which was turned into the Moldova Partnership Platform. Over 55 international delegations are expected to attend the event. According to the Government’s spokesperson, these are the country’s friends who want a European, modern and safe Moldova, IPN reports.
The first four editions of the Moldova Support Platform took place in Berlin (April 5, 2022), Bucharest (July 15, 2022), Paris (November 21, 2022), and Chisinau (October 17, 2023). A new edition of the Platform will take place on September 17, also in Chisinau, at the Palace of the Republic. The event will bring together ministers, secretaries of state, representatives of the diplomatic corps and of international financial organizations.
“It is a support platform that, during the last editions, was based on all the crises we have gone through: the energy crisis, the refugee crisis. Last year, a trenchant message was sent regarding the transformation of this platform, this framework of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and its friends, into a partnership platform, a platform that pursues a safe goal - the development of the Republic of Moldova. The event will take place in Chisinau and represents the platform’s return home. More than 55 delegations will arrive at the Palace of the Republic next week. Good friends of the Republic of Moldova are coming - the heads of diplomatic services of Germany, Romania, France, which are the co-founders of the platform,” Daniel Vodă stated in the program “Paralela 49” on Radio Moldova.
According to him, high-ranking officials will come to Chisinau to send messages of support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova, to provide financial support and expertise in the development and modernization of the country.
“All the friends of the Republic of Moldova, both bilaterally and international organizations, come to send a common message: that they are for a European, modern and safe Moldova. We intended, during the discussions, to focus on four important aspects. It goes to justice, anticorruption and security. The second aspect concerns energy, energy efficiency and the environment. The third: sustainable economic development and strategic infrastructure. The fourth: the public administration reform and the management of public finances,” the Government’s spokesman also said.
Daniel Vodă noted that the Moldova Support Platform was transformed into the Moldova Partnership Platform to change the focus from ad-hoc and emergency support to a long-term partnership for the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova.
