The first two Moldovan athletes have qualified for the European Games that will take place in Minsk during June 21-30, 2019.
Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mîrca qualified owing to the results achieved at the European Archery Championships in Poland. Olaru became European vice champion. In the mixed team event, the two ranked ninth.
“Alexandra is a real heroine. On June 21, she gave birth to a child and on July 6 she started to train already,” the coach of the national archery team Irina Chekanova has told IPN.
The first European Games were held in Baku in 2015. Moldova won three gold medals then.
