The initialing of the Association Agreements with the EU is a first step that will be followed by the signing and ratification of these accords. The countries must focus on the subsequent work. It should be clear that the initialing is only the symbol of an important effort, the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitè said in the opening of the EaP Summit in Vilnius, IPN reports.
The Lithuanian official stated that significant effort will be needed for the November 29 accomplishments to transpose into a better life for the partners. “We will need courage to go on and to cope with the challenges,” said Dalia Grybauskaitè. She added that a common area of democracy, stability, free movement and increased interaction can be created in Europe.
Today Moldova is initialing the Association Agreement with the EU in Vilnius.
