Dacia took an important step towards reaching the second qualifying round of Europa League. The team trained by Igor Dobrovolski beat 1-0 Renova, which ranked fourth the last season in Macedonia, IPN reports.
The only goal was scored in the 12th minute by the 20-year-old fullback Mihai Rosca, who made his debut in the European cups. He scored with the head from a pass given by Eugeniu Cociuc.
“I’m satisfied with the result, not yet with the game. We must remain focused as nothing is definite yet,” Dacia coach Igor Dobrovolski told a news conference. “The result is not so bad. We will make effort to take revenge on Moldova,” the coach of Renova Katip Osmani stated.
The return match between Dacia and Renova will be played in Orhei on July 9, starting at 6pm. On July 2, Sheriff and Saxan also meet in the first qualifying round of Europa League. Sheriff plays a return game against the Norwegians from Odd, while Saxan makes its debut in the European cups, in the encounter against the Cypriot team Apollon, in Chisinau. Both of the matches start at 8pm.
