Dacia Chisinau didn’t manage to beat FC Tiraspol on the latter’s field despite the penalty kick taken by it. The game ended in a 0-0 draw. However, the ‘yellow wolves’ remained at the top of the National Division rankings, having by one point more than Veris and Sheriff, IPN reports.
Milos Krkotic, of Montenegro, missed the chance to score a goal in the 26th minute. His kick was rejected by Bulgarian goalkeeper Georgi Georgiev. Ghenadie Orbu was also close to scoring a goal towards the end of the match.
“At least we scored one goal. Of all the matches we played against powerful teams, we lost only to Veris. However, we wanted to win a victory today,” Dacia coach Dejan Vukicevic told a news conference.
“I think we deserved the victory because we dominated the game and created several occasions for scoring,” stated the coach of FC Tiraspol Vlad Goian.
The other matches of the ninth stage ended as follows: Veris - FC Costuleni 1-0, Zimbru - Sheriff 0-1, Zaria - Dinamo-Auto 2-0, while Academia - Milsami 1-1.
