Dacia, Shefiff qualify for Moldovan Cup semifinals

Dacia Chisinau and Sheriff Tiraspol continue the race for both domestic league and cup. Both teams qualified for the Moldovan Cup semifinals after recording 1-0 victories in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 10, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sheriff managed an away victory against Zimbru Chisinau thanks to a goal from Slovenia’s Miral Samardzic. The Tiraspol-based outfit obtained revenge for the recent league defeat at the hands of the Yellow-Greens, which cost them the top spot. Montenegrin Milos Krkotic scored to put Dacia through to the semifinals at the cost of FC Tiraspol. The other two quarters produced identical scores 2-1. Milsami Ursidos Orhei eliminated Olimpia Balti in extra time, while CSCA Rapid Ghidighici bested Nistru Otaci. Thus, Sheriff will take on CSCA Rapid and Dacia will meet Milsami Ursidos in the Moldovan Cup semifinals. The winner will be decided in a single leg on May 14.
