Dacia continues to hold the lead in national championship

Dacia came closer to the second title of football champion in its history. The ‘yellow wolves’ keep the advantage of three points from Sheriff four stages before the end of the championship, IPN reports.

In the 23rd stage, Dacia scored an important victory in the struggle for the title: 1-0 on the field of Zaria Balti. The only goal was scored by international Vadim Cemirtan in the 20th minute.

Sheriff defeated Speranta 4-1 in Nisporeni. Gansari, Subotic, Ivancic and Rebenja scored for the team from Tiraspol, while the goal of honor of the hosts was scored in overtime by Milinceanu. “If we continue to play this way, we will definitely become champions,” Sheriff coach Zoran Vulic told a news conference.

In the next three stages, Sheriff will meet Zaria, Dinamo-Auto, and Saxan, while Dacia - Dinamo-Auto, Milsami, and Zimbru. Dacia and Sheriff could struggle for the title in a direct match in the last stage set for May 20.

Zimbru practically secured a place on the winner’s rostrum after beating Saxan 1-0. Portuguese winger Ludovic scored the only goal in the 27th minute. Another two matches of the 23th stage ended as follows: Milsami - Petrocub 2-1 and Dinamo-Auto - Academia 3-1.
