Dacia Blvd repair to be completed until Chisinau Day

Repair works on the segment of Dacia Boulevard from the Chisinau International Airport to the police post near the suburban town of Singera are to be completed until Chisinau Day on October 14, Info-Prim Neo reports. Exdrupo director Efim Cheptanari told the City Hall's ordinary meeting on Monday that the selected contractor will start the works no earlier than on October 1 because of earlier engagements. Municipal transportation and roads division head Adrian Boldurescu said that on the remaining portion a protective bituminuous layer still needs to be applied to complete the works. Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca apologized to the residents of Singera for the delay in the works. Earlier, the deadline was set by the municipal authorities for August 15. The repair is part of a joint Government-Municipality road rehabilitation project. The Road Ministry allocated 17 million lei for the purpose, and the Municipality is to allocate further 20 million lei: 10 million for the road repair and 10 million for street lighting.
