Dacia won 1-0 against Sheriff in Tiraspol and is now only two points behind it. Sheriff lost only one day after celebrating the 20th anniversary of its foundation, IPN reports.
19-year-old halfback Maxim Cojocaru scored the only goal in the 74th minute, four minutes after he entered the field. Cojocaru scored his third goal this season and the second goal against Sheriff.
“We met a well-trained team that caused us headaches. I also made mistakes when preparing for this game. But we must go on as we continue to lead,” Sheriff coach Roberto Bordin told a news conference.
The other two matches of the 26th stage ended as follows: Zaria - Zimbru 2-0, and Milsami - Academia 3-2.
