Dacia battling Zimbru for second slot in National Division

With Sheriff's prowess left unchallenged, local rivals FC Zimbru Chisinau and FC Dacia are now in competition for the honors of the National Football Division's runner-up. In Sunday's Round 15 of the Moldovan premiership, Zimbru seemed to have regained steam after the return of their best striker Oleg Andronic and defeated at home Olimpia 3:0. In another Round 15 fixture, Dacia won 1:3 away at Dinamo Bender, boosting their effort to tie with Zimbru. Current title-holder Sheriff easily slid past Tiligul-Tiras 3:0. The battle for the second position is even tighter in the inferior football league Division A, with as many as 6 top occupants having similar scores at this stage of the competition.
