The Moldovan team had a bad start in the new season of the European Cups on July 4. In the first qualifying round of Europa League, Dacia Chisinau and FC Tiraspol suffered defeats, while Milsami Orhei was against a much weaker team with great difficulty.

Dacia was beaten by Albania’s Teuta 3-1 away. However, the goal scored by Russia’s

Vasiliy Pavlov gives Dacia chances of qualifying for the second round of the competition.

FC Tiraspol was defeated by Skonto Latvia at home. Though they had many occasions for scoring, the Tiraspol footballers lost by 1-0. Now, the team trained by Vlad Goian must obligatorily win the return match away in order to qualify for the next round.

Milsami Orhei beat Dudelange Luxemburg 1-0, but performed worse than its supporters expected. The goal scored by Gheorghe Andronic in the first half didn’t ensure a quiet return game. “It is important that we allowed no goal. We hope to be more convincing in the return match,” said Milsami coach Stefan Stoica.

The return games will be played on July 11.
