The Czech Republic will support the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU for Moldovan travelers, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament David Vodrážka said in Chisinau on Wednesday, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a common meeting, the parliamentary commissions of the two states discussed the bilateral relations and the rather dynamic cooperation that became more intense during the last two years, including between the two executives that are responsible for the implementation of different common projects in infrastructure, education, agriculture and other sectors.
“After we paid a visit to Prague last year, we expect that our Czech colleagues will provide support in subjects concerning the European agenda. We are close to adopting the legal framework for implementing the action plan on visa liberalization. But this move depends on the will of Brussels and of those from the European capitals,” stated Igor Corman, the head of the commission on foreign policy and European integration of the Moldovan Parliament.
The Czech MPs enquired about the foreign relations of Moldova and the measures taken to settle the Transnistrian conflict. “Our visit represents a signal that the Czech Republic considers the partnership with Moldova as something important. The visits between Parliaments strengthen the relations between our countries,” said David Vodrážka.
Moldova is the largest beneficiary of Czech assistance in 2012.
