President Maia Sandu will host Czech President Petr Pavel in Chisinau. He will pay his first official visit to Moldova on Thursday, March 20, IPN reports.
According to the authorities, the visit marks a new stage in bilateral relations between the two countries and underlines Czech support for Moldova's European course.
The program of the visit includes an official welcoming ceremony and at 10:20 Maia Sandu and Petr Pavel will hold a joint press conference.
Petr Pavel has been President of the Czech Republic since March 2023. Before taking office, he had a military career, serving as Chairman of the NATO Military Committee from 2015 to 2018 and Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces from 2012 to 2015, with the rank of General.
