The second European Political Community Summit hoisted by Moldova clearly shows that this community is an important forum for all the European countries. Members of the community want to cooperate peacefully and want rules-based international order, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala stated in the EPC Summit closing conference in Bulboaca, IPN reports.

“I admire the courage of Moldova, the way in which it copes with Russia and how it deals with the effects of the barbarous attacks staged by Russia against Ukraine. Today we again transmit a powerful message, a message of support for Moldova and Ukraine. I’m glad that this European Political Community that was initiated last October in Prague produces fruit. Today we clearly see that this community is an important forum for all the European countries. The members of the community want to cooperate peacefully, want rules-based international order. At this meeting, we show that we are powerful and united and want peace, cooperation and security in Europe. This is now our top priority,” stated Petr Fiala.

The official noted that the roundtable meetings at which the three large themes of this summit were discussed - security, energy and connectivity – were very well prepared. The discussions were open and direct. “We had a roundtable meeting centering on security. It was very useful to exchange experience as regards hybrid threats, false information and manipulation of information, disinformation campaigns aimed at destabilizing and dividing our societies. That’s why this summit is so important,” stated the Czech Premier.

He concluded that the objective of such meetings is “to also show to all the citizens that the European partnership is powerful and we are united for coping with these challenges”.
