Czech Government offers scholarships for Moldovan students

The Government of the Czech Republic offers 15 graduate and postgraduate scholarships for Moldovan students for the 2007–2008 school year.
The courses will be taught in the Czech language during 3 to 4 years in the domains of agriculture, economy, engineering, environment, human resources management. Studies will be preceded by a 1-year Czech language course.
5 or 6-year masters’ degree scholarships are offered in areas of medicine and veterinary.
In addition, the programme proposes master’s scholarships for a period of 2 to 3 years and PhD scholarships with a 3 to 4-year length in the areas of agriculture economy, computer science and engineering. The postgraduate studies will be performed in English.
The candidates for postgraduate studies will have to pass an English-language exam, organised by the Czech Embassy in Chisinau. Application forms should be submitted to the Embassy until December 17. The exams will be held on December 20 and 21.
The scholars will benefit from free of charge healthcare assistance but will have to pay the travel costs.
In order to apply for the programme, candidates should submit their papers to the International Relations and European Integration Division of the Ministry of Education. The deadline is December 13.
2008 lyceum graduates are also eligible for the programme.
