A number of cyber-attacks on the connectivity infrastructure of national voter registration systems have been identified in the last few hours. Therefore, difficulties are encountered in the process of interconnection between polling stations and central registration systems, both on the territory of the country and in polling stations abroad, IPN reports.

According to the Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service, the attacks come from resources located in various states around the world.

The identified attacks were distributed in a coordinated manner, originating in multiple states globally or impacting connectivity between polling stations and central registration systems. Other identified attacks temporarily affected the interconnection for both domestic and foreign polling stations.

The Center’s specialists work to identify the authors of the attacks. The investigation is carried out in cooperation with national and international partner institutions.
