The Customs Service will ensure that the parcels sent home by the Moldovans working abroad reach their destination without hindrance, stated director Tudor Balitchi after a meeting on Wednesday with carriers that offer parcel delivery services, IPN reports.
Balitchi said, however, that the Customs Service will identify and watch out for those carriers who take advantage of the situation to smuggle unauthorized commodities. “Honest carries, and consequently the people expecting packages from their relatives, must not be affected, and we'll use all the modern verification instruments available to the Customs Service so that this doesn't happen.”
Tudor Balitchi promised he will meet with the parcel carriers again to identify solutions to all the issues.
