Customized car plates now also available in Transnistrian region

The Transnistrian administration decided to issue customized car plates, which contain special combinations of numbers and letters. The action is meant to reduce corruption in the field of registration of transport means, Info-Prim Neo learned from the regional press. According to the Transnistrian press, the decisions of the Tiraspol administration offers the chance for people to purchase customized car plates. It also assures a bonus to the budget as the money obtained from this service will be directed to the region’s budget. About 50% of the money will be used to modernize the technical and material base of the law enforcement bodies on the left bank of the Nistru. Customizing car plates is a widely spread practice in the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Belarus.
