Curteian confident before CIS Cup

The national Under 21 football team of Moldova goes to Sankt Petersburg on January 23 to take part in the CIS Cup. Moldova manager Alexandru Curteian said all the opponents from the group are worthy.

“Moldova will play the first match against Russia, which is the Cup’s favorite. We are ready for this game. In the last match of the group, the competition will be stiff as we play Lithuania, which we will also meet in the EURO 2015 preliminaries,” Curteian said in a news conference at the training grounds in Vadul-lui-Voda.

A number of players will be tested in this competition. “It will be a god preparatory stage before the decisive games of the EURO 2015 preliminaries,” stated Curteian.

The CIS Cup will take place between January 23 and February 3. On January 24, Moldova plays Russia.
