Current temperatures are below climatological normal

Last Saturday only, weather forecasters said the temperatures were expected to rise to +12 degrees Celsius on November 21, but a southern cyclone now brought unstable weather and negative temperatures that will be by 2-4 degrees below the climatological normal for this period.

Forecaster Natalia Ungureanu has told IPN that the temperatures the coming night will decrease to minus 5 degrees Celsius, while tomorrow, November 20, they will vary between 0 and +5 degrees Celsius.

There will be rain and sleet in parts of Moldova on Wednesday and Thursday and again on Saturday.

Nighttime temperatures will remain negative throughout next week, with lows of minus 8 degrees Celsius.

Weather forecasters announced heavy precipitation of 7-15 l/m2, mainly in the form of snow and sleet, for November 19. A yellow code advisory for the period between 3pm and midnight was issued for the whole territory of the country.
