Those interested in obtaining the device for creating the electronic signature and the public key certificate should know that the former Certification Center continues to work as the Registration Center of the  Government’s Common Certification Center that is managed by the public institution “Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service”. The warning was issued by the Center for Information Technology in Finance in the context of the implementation of a Government decision, IPN reports.

The Center said the decision forms part of the measures taken to strengthen the data centers operating in the public sector and to optimize the management of state information systems, by which the existing public key certification centers were merged into the Government’s Common Certification Center. The Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service was empowered to manage the common public key infrastructure of the Government and to provide public key certification services.

The Center for Information Technology in Finance noted its Registration Center continues to apply the same procedures for issuing, suspending, restoring or withdrawing public key certificates as those used until the creation of the Government’s Common Certification Center, for the interested persons. Each of the procedures lasts for at most five minutes.

Those who possess the device for creating the electronic signature issued until July 31, 2018 inclusive, when registering through the MPass service and/or signing electronic documents, must click the button “Fiscservinform” on the governmental portal msign.gov.md. Those who possess the public key certificate issued as of August 1, 2018, when registering through the MPass service and/or signing electronic documents  through the MSign service, must access the option Information Technology and Cybersecurity Service.

The applications to obtain a device for creating the electronic signature and the public key certificate can be submitted to the Registrant Center of the Center for Information Technology in Finance situated at 6 Constantin Tănase St in Chisinau, floor 3, office 303, or online here.
