Currency market is under control, central bank

The National Bank of Moldova says the situation on the currency market is under control and there are no reasons for concern or panic, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the central bank. The administration of the central bank and representatives of commercial banks held a meeting on December 11. At the meeting, officials of the central bank reiterated that the major objective at the moment is to ensure price stability. They said the National Bank will make use of all the monetary policy instruments available and will keep the situation under control.
