The Culture and Recreation Center and the Alley of Classical Writers of Calarasi town have been renovated within a regional development project financed with money from the National Regional Development Fund. About 2.5 million lei was allocated for the purpose, IPN reports.
According to the Center Regional Development Agency, the two facilities in Calarasi were refurbished as part of the regional development project “Development of Tourism Potential of Center Region of the Republic of Moldova”. The project covers the districts of Calarasi, Nisporeni, Ungheni and Straseni and its total budget is of over 24 million lei, more than 23 million lei of which was requested from the National Regional Development Fund.
The project envisions the development of six tourist attractions with related public utility infrastructure, installation of indicators and tourist panels, creation of a regional tourism development and promotion center, budding of an amphitheater stage and designing of four new tourist routes in Center region.
