A cultural-educational center will be erected in Ceadîr-Lunga town with the support of an Azeri foundation. The building will have three stories and will house the children’s arts school, the music school, the children’s creation center and handicraft workshops, IPN reports.
Parliament on November 1 adopted a bill to exempt the goods and services imported or provided for building the center in the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia from import duties, customs duties and value added tax without the right to deduct.
The construction of the center will be financed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of Azerbaijan that will also provide the equipment needed for outfitting the center’s halls. The project was estimated at 25 million lei.
The bill was initiated based on a request made by the Governor of Gagauzia and was adopted by the votes of 72 MPs of those attending after being given a final reading.
