The court sentenced to 20 years in jail and, respectively, to life detention the two men aged 29 and 34, who last August killed a man for not repaying a debt of 25,000 lei to him, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The investigators established that last summer, one of the culprits borrowed 25,000 lei from the victim and authenticated the deal with a notary. In the evening of August 16, the borrower, together with an accomplice, convinced the victim to go together with them by his car to agree the conditions of a supposed business agreement.
When they reached a forest near Calarasi town, the culprits tied the victim to a tree, beat him, took the 3,000 lei he had on him and then forced him to sign a receipt saying that the borrowed money was paid back. Afterward they hit the man with a hammer and the victim died. The body was buried in the forest.
The sentence is not yet definitive.
