A group of young people are founding the youth organization of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB). “We undertake to be the voice of young people at the level of the political class. We plead for the liberalization and de-bureaucratization of the economy and business community and for a new balanced system of social measures that will improve the life of young people in the Republic of Moldova here and now,” the representative of the initiative group Ion Bulgac stated in a news conference hosted by IPN.

Ion Bulgac noted that the youth organization proposes a broad and viable program designed for the young people, which could stop the exodus of adolescents and could help realize the economic potential and ensure the country’s future. The offer includes high-quality, competitive education at university and pre-university levels. “We need young people with social skills ready to deal with the challenges that they will face in adult life, able to cope with these and integrate into the national economy, who would be young specialists,” he stated.

The organization’s representative called on the active young people to join the team and to contribute to improving the life of young people in Moldova. “We invite all the young people who feel like we do, who are not afraid and who are ready to devote themselves, to form part of our team. We make this call for our future mates with whom we will together contribute to the paradigm shift we need so much. Together we will build a free, correct and progressive society,” aid Ion Bulgac.

Cezara Budu, another member of the initiative group, said the exodus among young people is a pressing problem that needs to be dealt with promptly. A set of balanced social programs is needed for the young people to feel the state support, including from financial viewpoint. “We cannot tell the young people not to leave the country when they do not feel wanted and welcome at home. We cannot tell them that they do not have the right to do this. That why we, the CUB team, will work together so that we overcome the point at which the decision to go abroad is taken easier than the decision to remain in the Republic of Moldova. We hope that you (young people) will support us,” she stated.

The Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) was launched on November 1. This is a center-right political party based on the ideas of social liberalism. According to the party’s team, CUB expresses the political will and interests of broad categories of citizens who plead for accession to the political, economic and social institutions of the European Union.
