Cruzesti post office head faces jail for forging pensioner signatures on orders

The Prosecutor’s Office of Ciocana district sent a case opened against the head of the post office of Cruzesti commune to court. The woman is suspected of forging pensioners’ signatures on payment orders and of appropriating 46,900 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The woman is liable to a fine of 500 to 1,000 conventional units (1 c.u. is equal to 20 lei) or imprisonment of 2 to 6 years, in both cases with the deprivation of the right to hold a certain post or carry out a certain activity for a period of up to 5 years.
The acting head of the Cruzesti post office Tatiana Iosob said that she was hired two months ago and knows nothing about this case.
