Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, as the Patron of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe, will visit the Republic of Moldova together with Zsuzsanna Jakab, WHO Regional Director for Europe, during November 23-25, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Health, three main issues will be addressed during the visit, namely health of women and children, acknowledgement of the importance of vaccination and antibiotic resistance.
The three-day visit will include meetings at the Ministry of Health with representatives of the medical community, the UN agencies and development partners. Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will give a speech to students and graduates of the School of Management in Public Health.
Princess Mary and Zsuzsanna Jakab will visit the national vaccines storehouse at the National Public Health Center and the University Clinic of Primary Medical Assistance as well as the immunization office, marking simultaneously World Antibiotic Awareness Week.
