Road workers, accompanied by a group of priests, will start to remove the funerary objects placed along the R3 Chisinau-Hancesti road, from kilometer zero, on November 18, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure says during three months, the local public authorities had informed the people about the coming into force of the regulations concerning the removal of funerary objects set up on the roadside. The relatives of dead persons were to take away the placed crosses or monuments or this will be done by road workers. The removed crosses and monuments will be taken to special places and be then used on the burial of socially deprived people.
The regulations took effect this August and were approved in concert with the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Culture and the Moldovan Metropolitan Church.
