The Child Rights Information and Documentation Center of Moldova and the Social Alternatives Association of Romania are launching the joint initiative “Inter-institutional Crossborder Cooperation in Protecting Children that are at Home Alone,” Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Center, the project will include experience exchange and creation of a package of joint crossborder resources like textbooks for professionals, guidebooks for parents and informative brochures. The resources will contain practical working methods for protecting children’s rights for professionals and the good practices identified in the two countries. Seventy-five professionals from the border zone will attend four seminars and learn how to use these instruments. The initiative is financed by the European Union and the Government of Romania through the Romania-Moldova Neighborhood Program for 2004-2006. The implementation period is September 2008-October 2009.
