Cristopher Hoerl is the first Moldovan athlete who will enter the competition at the Olympic Games of PyeongChang, IPN reports.
The naturalized Austrian will compete in alpine skiing, downhill, at 4am Moldova’s time on February 11. Alpine skiing combined will take place on February 13: downhill at 4:30am and slalom at 8am. On February 15, Hoerl will take part in Super-G, starting at 4am.
The second Moldovan athlete Nicolae Gaiduc will compete in men’s 15km free cross-country skiing at 8am on February 16. Gaiduc will carry Moldova’s flag at the ceremony to open the Winter Olympic Games of PyeongChang that starts today at 1pm.
