Cristina Lesnic: State finances reintegration program

A sum of 15 million lei was earmarked this year for implementing the program of country reunification activities. The document was apprpoved by the Cabinet and is financed with money from the state budget, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel, IPN reports.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, this means that Moldova does not expect only financing from foreign donors and undertook a commitment in this regard. “This year there will be financed 49 projects of the 140 proposals that were submitted to the commission for examination and validation,” stated Cristina Lesnic. The country reintegration program this year covers the school and preschool institutions situated in the Security Zone, water pipelines and street lighting.

Cristina Lesnic said in the negotiation process, they will continue to discuss the problem related to Gura Bicului. “We submitted a project proposal to the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova for modernizing this bridge. We didn’t finish discussions on the issue,” she stated, adding that among other priority subjects are the telecommunications and the free movement.

A sum of 82 million lei was spent during 2011 – 2018 on programs related to the reunification of the country within 309 projects.
