The Prosecutor General’s Office said the prosecutors started a criminal case over the corruption of voters against the virtual platform www.alegerimoldova.com, which promises to ensure connection between the parties that want to buy votes and the people who want to sell their vote, IPN reports.
Under the legislation, the punishment for such an offense is a fine of 4,000 to 10,000 lei or one to five years in jail in the case of private individuals and a fine of 60,000 to 100,000 lei in the case of legal entries, which can also be liquidated.
