The Prosecutor General’s Office (PG) started a legal case against the Communists Party (PCRM) for illegally obtaining the building situated at 11 Nicolae Iorga St from the public association “House of Chisinau Public Education Workers”, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the PG’s press service. According to the prosecutors, representatives of the PCRM influenced the members of the association through fraud and abuse of trust to approve the sale of the offices occupying 0.179 hectares on Nicolae Iorga St to the PCRM for an excessively reduced price. The representatives of the party assured the association’s members that their work will be financed with money from the state budget, they will be bought a bus and will enjoy different benefits. Thus, the PCRM purchased the building for 1 623 224 lei. A part of the rooms were left as pledge with SA Banca de Economii. Under the pledge contract and additional agreements, the party obtained a loan of 22 million lei. The investigations showed the sale-purchase contract was signed after the administration of the PCRM exerted pressure on the members of the association. The PG took legal action over swindle. The case is examined by the Buiucani Prosecutor’s Office.
