The special sparkling frothy brut classical white collection wine CRICOVA GRAND VINTAGE has won the silver medal in the 11th international contest “Efervescente du Monde 2013” held in France, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué of the Cricova wine complex.
The 11th international competition of the best sparkling wines brought together winemakers from 28 countries. This made this contest one of the largest in the word. The contest’s goal is to select the best wines based on their intrinsic qualities.
During three days, over 100 foreign experts tasted 594 competing sparkling wines. The winners of the 2013 contest can be characterized by diversity and quality. This year there were awarded 198 medals - 46 gold and 152 silver.
The Grand Vintage white brut classical wine with a Cuvee maturation of 5 years, made from the Pinot Noir sort of grapes, represented Moldova in the competition. This sparkling wine is produced according to the Champenoise method in the famous cellars of Cricova.
The Cricova wine complex has won over 150 medals in the most prestigious world contests.
