The 13 creation centers that worked in Chisinau municipality during the last school year were attended by about 14,000 children. Half of the approximately 1,000 classes were available at primary and secondary education institutions. The General Division of Education, Culture and Research said the out-of-school activities have a unique educative value and facilitate the exchange of ideas and experience in practical activity. They also stimulate the students’ interest and develop collective spirit, IPN reports.
At esthetic creation centers, children studied plastic and decorative arts, choreography, theater and folklore and learned to play musical instruments. At technical centers, the children attended courses of motorcycling, design, sports radiogoniometry, beginner technical modeling, rocket modeling, plane modeling, pottery making, woodworking, apparel design and others.
At other centers, the children attended classes of floriculture, winegrowing, flower arranging, zoology, biology, fruit growing, modeling from natural, recyclable materials and could study pedestrian tourism, mountain tourism, natural landscape, etc.
According to the Division , the annual leave starts in July, but the creation centers resume work on August 15. Specialists say the education of children through out-of-school activities is in line with inner motivations as each child can cultivate and develop the own creative aptitudes and skills.
