The fifth festival “Creanga Days” Targu-Neamt – Iasi – Chisinau starts at the Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga” in Chisinau on March 3.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Culture of Moldova, in concert with other institutions of Moldova and Romania, will stage a series of events such as exhibitions, performances, colloquiums, symposiums, literary evenings and contests dedicated to Ion Creanga’s works, IPN reports.
The program starts on March 3 with a literary-artistic performance entitled “Creanga’s view on education” and will continue the same day with the book exhibition “Ion Creanga in the mirror of time”.
On March 4, the Romanian Book Branch of the National Children’s Library “Ion Creanga” will host the 14th intelligence and creativity contest “Miss-Smarandita-2015”.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Culture Ala Paslariuc has told IPN that about 30,000 lei was earmarked for staging the events in Moldova, which are intended for the young generation mainly. The goal of the events is to commemorate the writer and to recollect his works. The activities involve the national institutions that bear the writer’s name.
