Couple tries to commit suicide because they were not understood by relatives

A 21-year-old man and his girlfriend aged 17 tried to kill themselves simultaneously. They hired an apartment and, after spending some time together, cut their veins open. Their relatives were against their relationship and they could not get on with them. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Maria Shamatailo has told Info-Prim Neo that a friend of the girl called an ambulance. The girl was admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital, while her boyfriend – to the Emergency Hospital. An investigation is under way. A young woman who was hanging the washing out on the balcony fell from the second floor of a dormitory located on Gheorghe Asachi St. She suffered an open leg fracture. Two men in their 60s were found on the street in an alcoholic coma and were hospitalized. The Chisinau ambulance teams yesterday and last night provided assistance to 685 persons, dealing with 78 cases of trauma, 48 cases of acute viral infection, six strokes, and 16 deliveries.
